UVA/UVB organic filters - substances which are able to absorb UV radiation: UV-B or UV-A or both UV-B and UV-A. These filters have high efficiency with some concentration limits and belong to the group of sunscreen ingredients allowed for use in cosmetics. They are characterised by: physico-chemical stability, mainly under UV radiation (both in terms of filter durability and its reactivity compared to other recipe ingredients); lack of dermo toxicity; minimum – safe penetration into epidermis; resistance to perspiration.
